Breastfeeding Uncovered 2014: Mission Possible Davao City

8/02/2014

The month of August is celebrated in the Philippines as the Breastfeeding Month and there's no other better way to celebrate it than to come together as a community to listen and learn from one of the breastfeeding experts and pediatrician from Canada, Dr. Jack Newman.

As a medical professional, I highly encourage everyone, most especially parents, to take part of this event. I do believe that breastfeeding has limitless advantages and that it is very important to maintain this healthy practice. For more information and online registration: http://latchbumpdavao2014.eventbrite.com.

About the organizers:
L.A.T.C.H. (Lactation, Attachment, Training, Counseling, Help) is a hospital based non-profit organization established in 2006 that offers quality lactation education and peer counseling services to mothers who wish to breastfeed.

Latch Peer Counselors are first of all breastfeeding mothers. Experiencing the challenges and benefits of breastfeeding with the awareness that we all create ripples that affect each other, a Latch Peer Counselor reaches out within her own ever growing sphere to support, promote and protect breastfeeding.

Latch Davao regularly holds breastfeeding talks with in the city and counseling with in the community, we talk about evidence based data, information and practices not anecdotes on breastfeeding.
